It is officially under a month to go now until Art Night Dundee and we are all getting very excited! Up next in our artist spotlights is Inefficient Solutions – the performative identity of Dundonian artist Euan Taylor. In his work he commits to the guise of a sub-contractor operating out of Dundee, never deviating from the company’s core values and aims: creating and solving problems; being on the scrounge; building building sites, and undertaking futile endeavours.
For Art Night Inefficient Solutions brings participatory installation ‘The Hi-Visit’ to artist-run exhibition and project space GENERATORprojects. We’ve recently caught up with Inefficient Solutions and got to ask what this might entail…
⭐ For Art Night you are presenting a participatory opportunity that promises to raise each visitor’s personal profile and expand their portfolio of public engagement. What, in your opinion, drives innovation in Dundee’s thriving Solutions sector? ⭐
‘Innovation in itself is one of the main forces that send us on the journey for ever more complex solutions. Inefficient Solutions has always been at the forefront of this quest.’
⭐ How does sub-contracting for Art Night satisfy Inefficient Solutions’ core aims and objectives? ⭐
‘At Inefficient Solutions we were extremely pleased to be awarded the contract with Art Night. It begins a new partnership, it’s a new avenue of pursuit, bringing a whole new range of challenges. Challenges that we are proud to meet.’
Thank you so much for answering our questions, we are really looking forward to seeing what you bring to GENERATORprojects on the 24th of June.
