Now open for booking: WHAT CAN WE LEARN ABOUT LOVE FROM LICHEN? — A project by Isabel Lewis, and an Art Night and ATLAS Arts co-commission.
Building on research and conversations with locally-based collaborators, Isabel has choreographed a series of guided walks across Skye — at Achnacloich, Scorrybreac, and Coille Ìosal, Braes. Led by the local agents — a wild forager, a composer, and a lichen expert, the walks weave a circuitous narrative about interspecies bonds and the potential for ecological attunement.
You are invited to join some or all of the three walks. You will receive a specially created book of scores designed by Isabel and the walk leaders that include reflections, conversations between the collaborators, and instructions for tasting, singing and communing with the landscape. You will also be invited to join one of the final hosted performance occasions at Braes Village Hall on Saturday 19th June.
17th June – Lichen Walk
16-17th June – Foraging Walk
16-18th June – Walking, Singing, Listening Walk
19th June – Hosted Occasion
Tickets are now available at ATLAS’ website, which you can find via the link below. Priority booking for local residents.
Please note, spaces are very limited due to COVID-19 restrictions. ATLAS and Art Night will be following all current Scottish Government COVID guidance for outdoor events and walking groups.
