Dundee Community Gardens Network / Grow Dundee

Community Gardens Open Day

About the Work

Communities across the city have creatively transformed abandoned bowling greens, backyards and small spaces in public parks into over 20 thriving community gardens. On this open day visitors are invited to follow the network’s Wheelbarrow Trail to explore these safe, diverse and joyful places to connect with themselves, others and nature.

Join the communities to celebrate locally grown food and friendship. They will sow seeds and share delicious food as part of the Big Lunch event. There will be many creative activities across these spaces, from gigs in the garden to exhibitions, bug hunts to sun printing, from yoga to edible flower tasting.

Dundee Community Gardens Network / Grow Dundee is a volunteer body connecting people in Dundee who grow fruit, vegetables and herbs and forage in and around the city.
